WHEN THE CLOUDS ROLL IN
Sometimes, life feels overwhelming.
Anxiety keeps spinning in your mind. Depression makes it hard to feel the beauty of being alive. You feel lonely, disconnected, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together.
Maybe you're waiting for something to change so you can finally be happy. Maybe things look pretty good from the outside, but inside, you're still struggling.
I've spent a lot of my life trying to understand this.
Even in a peaceful Buddhist monastery in Thailand, anxiety swirled in my mind. I tried to force my mind to be clear and calm... but fighting my anxiety only made it worse.
Eventually, I was too tired to fight my mind anymore.
For the first time, I truly accepted my thinking mind for what it was... and the beautiful world of the present moment came clearly into focus.
